Aloysians Athletics Club athletes delivered remarkable performances in the first of a series of Challenge Track & Field Meetings held at the Marsa track.

Raquela Calleja dominated the U-18 Long Jump event, securing first place with a personal best (PB) of 4.87m. She also recorded a PB of 28.16s in the 200m, despite battling a strong headwind.

In the U-16 category, Andrew Carabez shattered his PBs in both the 100m and 200m, earning a bronze medal in the 200m.

Owen Portelli (senior) clocked his best time in the 100m, Kylie Bonello (U-16) set a PB in the 100m and Luisa Ebejer also registered a PB in the 100m.

Maria Debattista claimed second place overall in the 1500m, finishing in a solid 5:17.20 while Miguel Piscopo (SNC) and Massimo Salamone took silver and bronze in the U-16 1500m.

Meanwhile, a group of Aloysians AC athletes also made their mark at The Lisa Maria Memorial Dingli 2Km Run with outstanding performances.

Miguel Piscopo stormed to victory, winning the race in an impressive 6:08min.

Kimberly Marie Gatt also put in a strong performance to finish third with a time of 7:42.
