The Athletics Malta Challenge Meeting 4 proved to be another successful outing for our Aloysians athletes, marked by numerous personal bests and promising performances.
These results are a testament to the steady improvement and dedication within the club.
Andrea Grech delivered a standout performance in the 100m, finishing third in his heat with a new personal best of 11.37s. This time also earned him second place in the U18 category. He followed up with a solid 200m run, clocking 23.30s.
Andrew Carabez continued his impressive progression in the U16 category, topping his age group in the 100m race with a personal best of 12.29s. He also recorded another PB in the 200m, finishing in 25.33s.
Ben Galea competed in the 100m as well, crossing the line in 13.41s. Then, he recorded a personal best in the long jump with a leap of 4.59m.
Zane Dimech registered a mark of 3.72m in the long jump and also competed in the high jump – personal best of 1.40m, showing his versatility across multiple field events.
Pietro Plagenza took part in the 800m, clocking in at 2:49.12.
In the 1500m race, Miguel Piscopo secured a PB with a time of 4:47.67.
Raquela Calleja broke the 28-second barrier for the first time in the 200m, placing second in her heat with a personal best of 27.85s. She continued her strong form, finishing third overall in the women’s long jump with a mark of 4.69m.
Martina Gouder also featured in the 200m, finishing in a time of 28.31s. She took part in the long jump as well, reaching 4.51m.
