Our young athletes delivered exceptional performances at the recent Winter Championships and the Caritas Malta Run for Life, showcasing their dedication, talent, and determination.
With numerous personal bests and podium finishes, they proved that hard work truly pays off. From impressive throws and jumps to remarkable runs, our U-12 and U-14 athletes made the club proud.
Here’s a roundup of their outstanding achievements.
In the Winter Championships, held for the U-12 and U-14 categories, Juze’ Cassar showcased outstanding prowess in the Vortex throw, clinching 1st place with a remarkable personal best (PB) of 41.59m. Additionally, he secured 2nd place in Shot Put, matching his PB of 7.20m.
Katrina Grech soared to 3rd place in High Jump, clearing 1.20m, and set a new PB of 3.93m in Long Jump, marking a significant achievement.
Zack Stafrace delivered a stellar performance in the U12 Ball Throw, achieving a top throw of 31.40m.
A huge shout-out goes to our athletes who participated in these championships, Benjamin Gusman, Chiara Gouder, Juljan Cassar, Guze Meli, Guze Farrugia, Samuel Vassallo, Luke Attard, Jan Rutte, Lara Dalli, Eva Mifsud Calleja, Kilen Bonello, Calvin Bonello, Luca Deguara, and Daniel Giordimaina.
Meanwhile, last Sunday, our young athletes excelled at the Caritas Malta Run for Life, bringing home numerous trophies.
In the Kids 1km race for the 6-year-old category, Sume Roos claimed 1st place, followed closely by Amy Vella in 2nd place.
Gabriele Vella Schembri secured 1st place in the 7-year-old category.
In the 8-year-old category, Ella Mifsud emerged victorious in 1st place, while James Lee Gatt finished strong in 3rd place.
Meanwhile, Guze Farrugia earned a well-deserved 3rd place in the 9-year-old category, rounding off an excellent series of performances by our young athletes.
